relax and get your "das kapital" out and think about it again. By logic of capitalism a profit can only be obtained by taking away the surplus value of a human worker. what does that mean? with automation the cost of production is falling, because it need less and less human time to produce a good. On a market with supply and demand, that means if the cost is dropping so is the price (companies are in competition). That will, as Bernie said, flood the global market with global market with goods, and low and mid tech factories in the developing world will quickly go bankrupt. You as an american worker will switch to another job, not able to be performed by Ai and robotics, and continue your everyday struggle. it may not be in manufacturing, and not well paid, but you will profit from the lower prices for goods and robot services. Ai companies will provide their tech to all possible sectors and get a share of all their profits (which will be marginal in the future). I bet the tech sector will dominate all others and the rest will struggle hard.
