Identifiable sources are critically important.
Two excellent rules (especially for Social Media like FaceBook and YouTube) are:
1] Any claim (scientific, political, etc) that does not contain a link to a specific, credible source can almost certainly be dismissed out of hand.
2] *NEVER* repost an article that does not include such a source link.
(And if it does include such a link, always check it out before you re-post.)
These apply not only to the problem of AI-generated garbage, but to any social media posts.
