As someone from both the art side (music so there are differences) and the tech side, working with ai specifically, humans definitely aren't the only ones that can make art. The way AI learns is inspired by the way humans do and it's only going to get more refined (tbh humans are glorified neural networks in a bionic mech). To me art is something personal, and not only about the end product, a robot doing "my job" as an artist / lyricist better than I can doesn't take away from my experience or my art, the same way other humans being better musicians don't make my music obsolete. It's about expressing myself and putting my unique spin on things. That said if a company creates an AI algorithm that is meant to be a product and make profit, the artists whose data was used should absolutely be compensated
