I'm neither a writer nor an artist, but I feel super devastated by ts. The good news is, Moores law is slowing, so I believe the immensely rapid advancement we've seen in AI in recent years, too, will slow down drastically. Not only that, but I don't think simply adding more parameters will take the language generators and image generators that much further than where we're currently at. Let's take a look toward video games. Many people have been saying that there really hasn't been the same level of improvements in image quality, recently, compared to the past. While everything ALMOST looks practically realistic, there's more to image quality and immersion than simply adding more polygons and accurate lighting. Recent video games look pretty amazing at first glance, but once you spend time in them, you realize how there are so many things, like animations for instance, that break immersion. There is simply too much nuance and detail in the real world that these games don't account for. In the recent Indiana Jones video game, Indy pours wine onto the surface of an object, and the wine looks like paint because liquids are transparent and have extremely complex behavior. The same can be said for AI generated content.
