the whole "mask" concept could just as easily be applied to human perceptual awareness and consciousness. the only reason no one does is that self-familiar human-centricity just makes the scorn kick in with aversion to the idea. imo a proverbial "alien invasion" is probably exactly what humanity needs and if you're afraid of Ai its likely too late, you're running on obsolete processes that the future has no use for.
