Raw LLM Responses

TL;DR: AI at it's current state and tragectory is useless in most sectors, it can be useful with course correction but it's unlikely, and at the bottom is the hacktivist's prayer. Honestly, the only use for AI to a consumer is, ironically, finding answers to very quick questions that other AI models have made impossible to find without dealing with an inferior large language model like Gemini at best or having your adblocker work overtime on AI generated clickbait articles loaded with SEO at worst. Even then, when it gives an answer, take it with a full salt shaker's worth of salt because it might be wrong. Heck, I saved a friend from destroying his school laptop by setting up a VM and running the commands ChatGPT was suggesting, all because he wanted to set up encryption. If we're talking automation, python scripts work just as well, with the only benefit if an LLM being summarizing massive chunks of data in a human readable format, but if that AI hallucinates a figure like it's prone to doing that summary is useless. Maybe it can help in the medical field? Well... kinda, just not LLMs, and not just yet. Having mechanical arms autonomously perform high precision surgery for critical care patients would be nice, but that's still scifi, give it some funding and a few years and we'll maybe see it, but investors want LLMs right now so not happening. I don't even need to explain creative projects, just watch the video this comment is on. The only real benefit if AI right now is it's making companies invest in nuclear power so that it runs safer and more effeciently (watch Kyle Hill if you're worried about Silicon Valley becoming Chernobyl, and play Fallout or STALKER if that's what you want to happen, no judgement either way), all to keep their data centers going because AI takes a lot of power to train. And before anyone calls me a ludite, give me a cybernetic arm with built in retractable rings and say the prayer with me, "Lord please pray for the soul of this corpo slave. And guide my hacktivist hand and make it strong, Lord. So that they might learn a shill's place. Amen."
