The A.I doesn't "create" nor has any skills whatsoever or understanding of how an image is manually made and thought out... The way it works is through "collages", basically. That's why data banks are absolutely necessary for it, it can't conjure anything, and if it doesn't have the proper references for a prompt, it'll vomit a bunch of random mashed-up images together. That's why for one A.I "drawing" the machine produces a ton of iterations until you pick one out for clean-up. That's how it learns to draw from its data bank. Every A.I needs a very real, preferably human input to "learn" (that's how search engines can be so accurate ! Real humans teach them what to show and when, it's a real job). Hence the stealing. Without a data bank, there is no image.
Done intelligently, it could let artists produce their pieces faster I guess, but only if they feed the A.I themselves with their own work. We can already see the potential in animation but they're already using it to cut actual people off of jobs and lower production prices. It's wild... I hate it.
