Honestly.. The whole deal is simply that artists are the ones being affected by it and losing their jobs. Of course they'd not like it. Blacksmiths didn't like when factories came along with industrial pressed. Bakers didn't like it when machines started to kneed dough and get the bread done. Carpenters didn't like it when ... you get the gist of it. And if ''the joy of creation'' is a valid reasoning... Well that is a reasoning just for the person creating it, not necessarily for the one receiving it. The problem with this type of thing... And I am not accusing you of anything or saying you're wrong... Is that people always dry the line juuust above what they themselves are doing and how it affects them. I didn't see people in the 2000s coming in defense of engineer and architects when REVIT came along and made the whole architectural and structural process essentially automated, just ahving to do a few clicks around... Not so different from prompt writing. And I don't think you're gonna find anyone complaining atht the house they live in was planned, projected, calculated, designed... by a computer... In fact, they don't even care to know if it was. Buuuuuut.... Because people will draw the line right above what they themselves do, it opens the door for a whole lot of reasoning as why it's not the same situation, why art has more value than architecture or engineering. And, honestly... A real lot of people only want something nice to look at, they're looking for the artist's hidden message, their mood, the whatnot. That is like handmade furniture. It matters only to who it matters. To a whole lot of people, buying something mass produced at a store is perfectly fine. And you are right! At least I think you are. Humans will make art no matter what. AI isn't gonna stop artists from being artistic. And those artists, with human art, and the people who care for it, they're gonna be far more respected and far more well paid than they are now for their skills by the people who see the value in them.
