I can't see this playing out. The major flaw I see with this scenario is the fact that money needs to be exchanged in order for companies to survive. If there was a complete AI take over of every industry and everyone lost their jobs, whos actually buying anything? Why would stock prices go up if no one is buying from these AI companies? Another thing too is people adapt. If a programmer looses his job because a bot took it, he'll look for something in a different field. Happens all the time through out history.
