This is complete rubbish! You need to understand liability. When a doctor messes up, they are liable. If they're replaced by AI, and that makes a mistake, then the owner of that AI will be liable. Companies won't be willing to do that.
Engineers aren't going to be replaced by AI. The liability point above applies. Plus we've been able to generate designs automatically for a long time, but we don't do it because the output isn't very good and doesn't take into account everything that an engineer needs to consider.
