I would rather compare it not to an alien, but rather to a Jungian Shadow, or The Unconscious.
in simple terms: the more you try to press down on a floating rubber duck to get it deeper, the more it will snap back up at you.
in similiar way the a.i. model will show a lot of unconscious behaviours that were not planned by creators, but are just plain and simple results of it's programming. The phenomena is called "Unintended Consequences" there are glorious videos on yt describing how this works.
It's not an alien nor a monster. it's just a consequence of programming and infrastructure, just people have tiny brains that do not allow it to grasp exactly what they are doing. Like a child, trying to get that duck down, not understanding what it is actuallly doing.
