I don't think people should call themselves Artists when merely generating A.I. Pictures and they should absolutely not sell the generated pictures. However "Exploring" AI pictures and posting AI generated art just to see the many interesting outcomes is (also clearly marking them as AI generated) no problem in my eyes.
I too wanna try typing "Croc and Ball torture" into one of those picture creation apps and laugh at the outcome (Which was a fat cartoon crocodile wearing leather stuff BTW.)
