AI and robotics will undoubted wipe away a huge number of jobs. This is not just a US-only phenomena, its affecting the world like a storm. However, the way to handle this challenge is not to rant about the loss of jobs, but to see what we do to ride the wave. The oligarch will profit from using this technology because they want to improve on their productivity so that less humans are needed for the same output. That is the way to be able to make the goods cheap enough to compete in the world. Otherwise, their empire will collapse from fierce competition. However, for human, you could embrace AI and learn how to use robot so that you could be operating this technology and ride the wave. You could also go into areas where AI and robotics cannot replace it. Humans are not static creatures, so we are able to adapt to the changing situation to stay relevant and useful. The future could very well be that there is much less work for human that we may just need to work 20hr per week and get to spend more time with the family.
