You 100% don’t need AI to draw. You can draw with practically anything; chalk, pastels, pencils, broken pieces of pavement, wood, theres a whole damn list. On top of that, if you can commit yourself to it as a passion and hobby, it can really pay off! I started drawing around 4th grade, and when I became interested and actually got decent for my grade(insert the title “the art kid”) I suddenly had lots of options. These days I make art and hang it on my dads walls at work(actually good pieces that I worked forever on), start taking commissions from friends, and I’m also going to start a mini business in sketching and art for a little extra cash(also small shout out to my 4th grade teacher, who gave me a set of expensive high quality colored pencils, I still use them :D). And tbh, starting out in art is pretty easy; you can practice by redrawing art others have made(ex. I used to draw and redraw the Wings of Fire series covers, which got me pretty good at sketching dragons, but don’t claim the art as your own if you show it to others and say directly it’s a redraw of ___), look up small lessons on the basics, learn how things like ambient light and color contrast works, and theres a lot more. And because of the many diverse forms of art such as pencil sketch, graphic designs, oil pastels, water color, and others, there are many different forms of art to choose from, and you don’t even have to choose just one! On top of that, theres also art like artist culinary, fashion design and creation, architecture, writing! The point is, you don’t need to use AI to create art, since art is a huge part of many, many cultures and comes in various forms besides drawing. In fact, the AI is trained off art taken from websites that have signed a contract, so all of the stuff being generated is taken from other real peoples work, and you can even recognize some of the forms the AI uses; water color, sketching lines, messing yet pleasing coloring, cartoonish pencils. If you want to learn to make art, don’t look it AI as a safe and fast solution to make it: Learn it yourself in any form you choose.
