I am not a techbro by any means, so please don't assume that, but I do want to mention that for people with certain disabilities it is helpful to be able to have AI read things and then summarize them for you for college assignments/longer texts/etc. I'm not saying that we should do that for every single interaction we have, just wanted to offer a viewpoint on it that I think a lot of people misunderstand. I also personally don't think it's bad to generate ideas with AI for essays/drawings (text ideas, not full on pictures) and then use that to make something yourself. I'm not saying AI should write your essay, but if you say "what are some key points to include on an essay about capitalism as an economic structure" i think that's perfectly reasonable and helpful for people. I just feel like disavowing AI 100% and saying it's only negative is a bit short sighted and harmful too. Not to say that it isn't bad that they're stealing art and I honestly love what you're doing because I think art is a human thing that should stay human, I'm just saying let's not start banning AI outright for committing copyright infringement (although the corporations should be punished for that).
