I don't see any other way than a UBI .. the menial jobs are slowly disappearing. The markets near me have like 6 self service lanes and one or two for people who'd rather have a cashier do the scanning. The AI is going to absolutely decimate the tech world and much of the banking world etc etc. Art will likely still be a thing but many, many companies will start using AI art and stuff and human created art will become a novelty, and something people will be increasingly skeptical off esp digital art, even stories/books etc wil become scrutinized people claiming it was actually made by an AI etc. Not believing the real artist. People are also more and more less willing to work 5 days a week or even really try too hard at their jobs. Many people don't want to work at all or exclusively work from home. It's the "low class" jobs that will likely become the highest paid regular jobs. Like a carpenter, electrician or plumber will likely make a fortune in the near future, until they are also replaced with robots lol. But in the near future I imagine they will earn more than the average lawyer .. since really, a lawyers job can be done by an AI, probably better than any lawyer, an AI will never ever forget a law or miss a loophole. Then again, AI as a defender might not be the best since I doubt they would program lawyer AI to lie, twist facts or manipulate like real lawyers do. Anyway. Without a UBI capitalism probably will not survive. And if capitalism crashes we will head in to some horrific times.
