Dude.. "AI is taking 99% of work" -in what universe? Plumbers, welders, electricians, carpenters, builders.. They will be fine. For eternity. A human is easier to maintain and program to various jobs, cheaper and more agile/efficient to use than any robot in forseeable future. Need to evacuate a possum from the datacenter?.. AI isn't gonna build/train a robot for that when the nearby carpenter can do it. The people in text/data/marketing/other non-physical work tend to be in a bubble of their own. Start a ranch. If enough humans are not viable in cities, they will thrive on the countryside/offgrid. Unless its a fullblown war against humanity. Ideally, AI will distribute and provide, and task humans to do what it needs done. One day you deliver a car to the next city, other day you carry 50 bricks from here to there, third day you push the button to iniate take-off of a rocket. AI will instruct.
