I wish they had gone into a bit more detail about what the nature is and of what form this potential simulation takes. Is it like the matrix & bodies are in capsules being maintained in someway? Is it that we are purely creations of code? How do we feel physically if that is the case? Also is this not a chicken & egg conundrum? Where did the higher AI intelligence come from that started this? Who or what generated that? Did that previous species get wiped out by the AI? Are we based on the species that created AI? Are we the same? What experiment is this? For what aims?
There are infinite questions that arise from that mic drop statement.
I know I can do research to try & get some further information. Also Dr Yompolskiy would probably simply answer he doesn’t know. However, it really does seem unfair to say something that significant & then just largely move on in the conversation.
