What really kills me is that the AI has stolen very real art just to make shit amalgamations that people claim as their own. It's disgusting. Art is one of the core things about humanity that makes us us, it's been around since the dawn of our time, and it's essential to many of us personally AND socially, it's one of the only ways to express what language cannot.
It's just plain theft with zero effort. I'm almost a decade into being an artist, and I'd still consider myself a little bit of a novice, especially in areas I just recently delved into. It takes a lot of effort and desire to become an artist. I'm an artist because I have a need to create, not because I want recognition and money; that will get you nowhere in art.
"oh I could never do that" "I can only draw a stickman haha" yeah, because you never dedicated any time, effort or resources to doing it, you don't care enough to be good at it. Like all good things, it takes time.
