It's funny because a lot of artists say it's empty and doesn't have substance, etc.
Then you put up a bunch of AI Art in a gallery and say it's from local artists, and all of those same people will be looking at it like it has soul. So what is it really? Is it a soul crushing capitalist void, or is that only when you find out it's created by AI?
The pursuit of art is supposedly this passionate and personal endeavour yet in the face of compensation, you fight and struggle like management looking at quarterly balance sheet.
The beauty I'm seeing in all this is the futile struggle of artists against the machine. They truly believe that they can change or resist this change. Maybe you can, in your town or city, but worldwide? No chance in hell.
I have nothing against artists, but it's time for a career change. The same way that truckers, factory line workers, accountants, and many other traditional jobs have already been replaced. Just because you view yourself differently doesn't mean the AI does. Your work is replaceable and that's the truth of it.
