I've been saying this for months. I remember 20 years people started outsourcing coding to India. What happened was it needed people to spend time speccing those requests to the letter. It wasn't faster or cheaper because there was poor communication and in house devs are not just code monkeys but people who understand how the whole system works and who the actors involved are. Coders in India will only give you exactly what you ask for. So companies that went that direction soon started hiring their own staff again. While AI is still pretrained models it will never be able to do what humans do which is learn and adapt to lots of highly specific things every minute of every day.
