I love to bring up how Klaus used AI to shade its movie. They didn't scan the web to produce entire scenes. Their proof of concept was done by hand with the same style, but it was very labor intensive, so they trained AI on their own work merely to replicate the style of shading, and still maintained their artists to go in afterward to make corrections. This is the difference between ethical and unethical AI. One is used to bypass the creative process and intentionality of visual art altogether, the other was actually used as a mere tool to make said process easier, keeping the decisions and intentions of the creators in the creator's hands. And you can see this difference in how so much AI imagery has mistakes so blatant, it's obvious that no onelaid a single finger of intention upon it before submitting it as an ad or promotional material. It looks bad because the people using it are completely reliant on the choices of the computer. So when the hands in their therapy ad have seven fingers that phase and blend into eachother, rather than making corrections they just, slap it on the wall
