Process vs Product. Had a hippy highschool snippy weed stinking teacher for art, four years in a row. Their emphasis on "the process" being what really matters seemed really dumb to me. The process is important but it all ends with the product, she literally could not produce any art beyond abstract mixed media. Over a handful of kids in my class, just that one class, could out draw her. The best happened to be the two asian girls, stereotypes exist for a reason. The one who came from China, took what China thinks art school is (far preferable to the west and the postmodern urge to make ugly shit, hate beauty and crap on classical scenes like a Crucifixion and renderings of Aphrodite with blonde hair and blue eyes, skin pale. hip to waist ration showing high fertility and health... the look of a woman that compels a man's base attraction objectively. The west wants her to be black and fat and masculine looking which does such a disservice to beautiful black girls and models. Liberal art never has her looking like Rihanna... BLM art will always pitch the idea that beauty is subjective... how society and nurture decides what we are attracted to which is so foolish. Idea that we can be raised to see concept art in the MoMa as compelling as the interior of a Cathedral... no, different places give different feelings. You have to be quite indoctrinated to think some splatter Pollock rip off is able to be mentioned in the same breath as the Statue of David. I digressed however the person sees "classical artists" as conservative and judgy while "neo-artists" are obviously implied to be progressive. "Neo-artists" is a debatable title. It gets pretentious real quick when you start to decide who is and who is not an artist. Even defining art is something art school kids have trouble doing. "Art can be anything!" IF ART CAN BE ANYTHING IT MEANS NOTHING. Art students very will may that AI is an exception/ Even AI... "well even though it will put me out of a job... (Both we above average artists... they never show Hitler's "Madonna and Child" painting when showing his work, they show the worst. CAN YOU SEPARATE THE ART FROM THE ARTIST? I think a mature person can. Hence they can separate the AI origins of a most beautiful image (which is copying all the best human art and mixing it to levels of perfection. It still is based of the human vision, not like alien stuff is input.)
