if AI can be used to generate quality art / better art more efficiently, then it should. I see no issue with copyrighting AI art nor with entering it into competitions. If the submission can beat art created with a camera. brush, etc, that pretty much means we no longer need creative types. Applying rules to art fully devalues the entire concept. All art is inherently derivative, the reality is that ''artists'' are simply mad that their job can replaced with so little effort. People wouldnt be angry about AI art if they didnt feel threatened by it, so like it or not, they know its superior.
