I don't own a tesla nor do I care about Tesla but most of these accident our caused by reckless driver relying on the self driving/auto pilot feature.
The first fatal accident, that was 100 percent the driver of the tesla's fault. He already broke the law by pressing the accelerator going over the speed limit. Those speed limits are for yours and others safety.
Second he became distracted the moment he started to try to find his cell phone once he dropped it. If he didn't do that, he would've press the brake once he realized the Tesla was going to stop.
Driver should be sent to prison for vehicular manslaughter. I feel like he's shifting the blame onto Tesla's autopilot.
With that being said, Tesla owner should never rely on self driving/auto pilot, to take over their responsibility of operating a vehicle.
Lane detection feature is already by itself dangerous. I've have close calls during construction sight were my Camry almost hit a barrier. After that I just turned it off ever since.
100 percent all cars needs to be control by a driver.
