Look at the mouse utopia experiment. The basic goal of this game is resource gathering. Take away the basic goal of the game and it gets boring and people stop playing or they create mischief or destructive ways to play. The assumption here is that everyone is a creative and have a entrepreneurial drive. I'm retired but I plan on life extension tech to become more advanced and available so I am constantly learning to use AI to create new business ideas. I am waiting on a settled format for AI agents whether it's Anthropic's MCP, Open AI's SDK or a new one that will allow agents to work together. However I would say almost 98% of the people I discuss this with eyes glaze over so, we're only talking about a few percentage of the population that will create something for themselves. I believe the rest will devolve into being taken care of by the government. So, I'm not as optimistic as you are.
