I wanna bring my input about AI "art" as an artist and a buisness major (I will personally stick to drawing things myself, thank you very much). I think people are crazy when they say AI art is art, because it is simply a TOOL. Currently there IS no ethical way to use AI art because it is diretly ripping from the data of artists, who put years of work into thier craft to make somthing personal and unique. (Not to mention the pollution). Anyone can make realism and so can an AI, but the way it is made is what makes it human, and that is what seperates A.I from the art: human experience, skill, and emotion. But as a buisness major, I understand companies and people wanna cut time and effort and cost. I don't like it but it has always been a constant in history. The only way *I* see that I COULD be used ethically, is if it was a PERSONALIZED program where the only art inputted is YOUR OWN work and nobody else's. I can see this as a creative buisness move. When that specific artstyle created by YOU (or your team) is compiled with thousands of images, you then have a backlog of content which is uniquely yours. It can be like a sort of branding. That way artists don't go out of work and companies only have to pay artists temporarily for that effort. It also allows for more jobs to be open, because then companies won't be as hesitant to hire since they will be temps, and other companies would want to do that too. It also gives arists time to focus on thier own creative projects, rather than slave away for years in a company that mistreats them. This is wishful thinking though and only a personal theory. I don't think AI art is art, but what can we do when greed runs our planet?
