Great vid and great explanation. 👌👌 I am not a popular artist on any platform, so I’m glad that you’re talking about this AI crap bc otherwise no one would probably even know about this issue let alone care. I’m glad that you took the time aside from doing your art to dive into this issue, wade through the drama and stand up for something so important. What do you think is a plan to stop this AI art theft? I’ll look into what the artists on deviantart did to stop it on their platform, but I’m currently posting my art mainly to IG and Artfol. (Effective Jan 2nd, ARTFOL DOESNT ALLOW AI ART EVERYONE. Not sponsored or anything lol just a PSA for anyone looking for a supportive platform.) My hope for the leadership at IG hearing artists’s complaints is dim without, what, some massive strike? No artist posts on the site for 2 weeks or something to show who’s boss? Idk. I’m not giving up on art or posting it online. I think even the normies and trolls who subscribe to ai generators will get bored and move onto another trend/gimmick, so I don’t think this is the death of humans doing art. I think this just actually increases the value of human made art. I’m just passed about these companies disrespecting artists and getting away with it, and platforms like IG & ArtStation turning a blind eye bc all they care about is having more coNtENt on their sites. Alternative sites like Artfol have trouble picking up steam bc most everyone is too busy keeping up their presence on the main platform that they’ve sunk years of effort into to build up a following. But only the alt sites are likely to be responsive to the art niche concerns. I just don’t know 😕
