Honestly, I used to be completely against AI Art in general. And then I encountered someone on Discord that made me change my opinion from "AI Art sucks" to "AI Art sucks if it's done by people who suck". This person was an artist, but their wrists were ruined to the point where their doctor pretty much banned them from doing art ever again... which drove them to the point of doing things (that YouTube won't like me mentioning) because, to them, art was their everything. Then they found out about AI Art; they weren't happy that the big models stole art, so they made and trained their own model completely from scratch. The only art they used to train the model were the 36-48 pieces that they, themselves, made (before the accident) of their own OC. The custom model has never seen any art other than this former-artist's. In their case, AI Art was straight-up life-saving (not financially; this person never (even pre-accident) sold their art), hence why I needed to have an exception to my stance. It still caused a server-wide debate that got bad enough that the server owner had to step in and side with the former-artist, but that was the first (and so far only) time I looked at someone who does AI Art and thought "Yeah, that's fine."
