My issue with ai art isn’t necessarily the fact that it’s done by an ai, it’s more about the fact that most of the time, ai for art are trained on other people’s hard work, or straight up just stitches other people’s drawings together, without ever asking the original artist permission. Ai can be a damn useful tool there’s no mistake about that, but as an artist I don’t want my work used to train these ai at least without my knowledge or consent.
Also I’m a traditional artist who started drawing digitally about 10-15 years ago. (Wow that makes me feel old ew) digital art makes some things easier sure but everything on that screen is drawn by my hand. Usually I actually start with a sketch on paper and then transfer it to my pc to wrap it up and color it, because I find the sketching process easier with a pencil and the coloring process easier on digital. They’re still all me with just the help of a few tools.
