It’s clear that Elons self driving claims were aimed to impress potential buyers. They were also attractive to potential buyers of stock and have meant that Tesla trades many multiples ahead of its competitors purely on the perception that their auto pilot features were well ahead of competitors. Elon set a high bar and based on consumer law, consumers should be safe in the knowledge that the product meets these claims but it clearly doesn’t. Tesla performs well and probably head of its competitors but that’s not the point- their claims are intentional to drive stock prices. So if more law suits occur like this and the stock price gets hit…. Then did Musk defraud share holders with false claims,
