Maybe he's right. After all, aren't our personalities just the sum of all our memories and experiences? We also just find patterns.
It doesn't seem to be the ultimate AI though, because for me that would be one that could solve problems for us, such as inventing a time machine, which I guess could not be done just by find patterns.
