A robot or a primitive android like this is NOT AI. AI is nothing more than a collection of data sets, designed for a specific purpose, that a program acts upon to make decisions. The idea and assertion that AI is somehow alive, thinking and plotting is so utterly laughable- I can't begin to explain how silly it is. BUT, Where AI is truly dangerous, is in the hands of police organizations, secret intelligence agencies, etc. THESE are the ones that are alive, thinking and plotting. Videos like this distract from the real dangers of AI- governments and corporations wishing to use them to control and repress their own people. AI is a MASSIVE collection of data about YOU. Along with a program that learns to predict your behavior, when you might get upset and when you might need a visit from the thought police. THIS IS THE REAL DANGER OF AI... It is not a bunch of Terminators running around slaughtering humanity. We don't need them- governments have always found humans willing to slaughter their fellow men. 20 years from now, when you have multiple helper robots and androids in your home doing the tasks you use to do, everything they see, everything they touch and everything you say and do, will be catalogued by your servants- and fed to the AI program. It will then learn how to predict your slightest whim- and cater to it. But that data will be 100% accessible to government agencies. If you think some company like GE, Tesla or Goggle is going to keep that very personal and intimate data secret, you are nuts. They don't even do it now. And then one day, when you are upset with the government too much, a debilitating drug is slipped into your food by one of your digital servants. Or maybe tranquillizers that muddle your thoughts and calm you down. After all, we can't have people rebelling against their rightful masters, now can we? This is the future. A future in which you have no idea who your real enemy is. Stay inline and do what you are told- and all will be well... Did your neighbor really die of a heart attack from natural causes? Or did one of his faithful servants discover he was posting bad things about the government or a business on a website... This is the true danger- not slaughterbots deciding they want to rule the world.
