A.I. is not dangerous and never will be. It won't and can't be sentient. If A.I. does anything dangerous, it is humans causing it. It is a tool, just like a knife can be used to kill or cut out a tumor. A gun can be used to murder or to save someone from a rabid dog attack. Too many people are lying and exaggerating about A.I. and its attributes, probably out of ignorance, but maybe deception or greed. It causes fear in people who don't fully understand what's going on.
