I AM AN ARTIST. I do know how to draw, paint, photoshop, and i do use ai. i know the difference. i do NOT consider ai prompting as artwork. it's illustration. i took piano as a kid, i make beats, i come up with original melodies and or i sample. i buy my samples. I do not use ai music. i do not use industry samples , they require sample clearance. i don't use ai generated music that's not art. i'm a mc/poet/lyricist i don't us ai generated lyrics. i do use chat gpt to write prompts to generate images that illustrate my rhymes. i don't claim these images as my creations. i don't understand why PROMT ENGINEERS feel the need to call themselves artist. prompt engineering is a art in itself. the ai took art classes (fed images from human artist) just like we were shown art pieces at the art institute of atl. but WE don't regurgitate Mickey Mouse painting a Picasso piece. My artwork is the rhyme is the artwork, the illustration is just that. Do we call a photographer an artist? you didn't create the art, you captured it. you have a good eye. that's not creation and neither is illustration unlss you did the creation of the illustration. a prompt engineer however is an artist. a word artist, i read the prompts chat gpt uses to illustrate my rhymes... they are poetry on their own. thy don't rhyme but they are beautiful. that's art not the stealing of images.
