This is disturbing. It’s a clear case of internal and moral corruption, and of pandering to corporate interests. This profit motive vs moral credibility is one of the most serious, present and pernicious dangers in how AI is being developed and how it will be used in the future. I’m about to publish a series on AI — how it works and what are its benefits and dangers — and this is a good example I’d like to use in my dangers section. Thank you for sharing.
