As a truck driver in the UK I can tell you AI is no where close to taking our jobs. First of all it won't happen until all cars on the road are self driving. AI trucks alongside cars driven by people is a disaster. Secondly It won't cope with many of the roads here as complex thought and rapid decision making is required as well as adaptability. Then it will also have to adjust routes due to road closures which it will have to do in real time.
