Gotta disagree with you on this one, Charlie. Artistic talent isn’t a prerequisite for copyright. I wouldn’t be surprised if this case ultimately winds up in his favor. Courts might carve out new exceptions to exclude AI works but, as the law currently exists, it’s really hard to make a legal argument that he didn’t own the copyright the second he generated the image.
