Either way each country is fucked. Once people are out of work do you think they’ll be happy about it? Or are they gonna be incredibly angry? I’d say angry. And since no one can feed themselves, I think you can figure out what’s going to happen. It’s honestly criminal nothing has happened yet considering you can’t even buy a home anymore cause the cost is bare minimum 100k. What you think there’s gonna be a UBI program? Maybe. But it won’t be as great as advocates for it think. Think about it. How much does shit like welfare pay? Not much. It barely takes care of your needs. Ubi will probably be the same way. Barely being able to pay for your food and rent. And you probably won’t make enough money from it to indulge in your hobbies anymore. No more video games or streaming services or anything like that. You won’t be able to have any of it. Only the people with jobs that can’t be replaced by ai (for now) will be able to make any money. And there probably won’t be any entry point for young people into the workforce. Kinda seems like if you want any hope of getting a job, you’ll be forced to either go to college, community college or a trade school. Like I’m sorry but I see no scenario where ai taking jobs will be good for anyone. It just seems like it’ll be a dystopian world. The rich don’t care of course. They never think of the long term consequences. It’s not gonna end well though. People will probably try to overthrow the government over this aswell as going after corporations that supported this. Or this could go the cyberpunk route and people just don’t do anything and suffer in silence. which I have a feeling is what will happen. Because people in the U.S don’t seem to have the fucking balls to actually do something. Sure they protest or riot. But nothing usually or ever comes of it
