Well it's ridiculous to say we can't use tools to have the ideas in our heads become a reality and then profit off of it. I mean if I hire someone to do it for me it would be considered fair game, but if I let an AI generate it, it suddenly is not. I can understand your point that the AI has learned styles by copying other known artists, but most artists actually develop their styles by learning techniques from others and make it their own. It's ultimately an idea that is being sold and if that was his idea he should be able to sell it, whether it was AI generated or not. Anyways those are just my 2 cents on this matter. I don't see a bright future for artists anyway unless they are borderline unique and lightyears ahead of their time. This is all steps towards acceptance. We all see it coming whether we like it or not and instead of fighting it, we should capitalize on it. It's the end game anyway. This is coming from someone who has played guitar his entire life, who loved to draw for many years, who has an autistic child who is like hyper focussed on arts, so it sure doesn't benefit me or my own at all, but I feel it's the future. I told her this is basically not the right path to be taking professionally. As an outlet or a hobby for sure, but not that.
