very well broken down and paced, very enlightening and a subject not very well dealt with atm, thank you. I make animated video/film with my own music/scripts and I've just started to use AI for backgrounds (as they generate so much quicker than rendering a big 3D model for 1000s of frames). I think public broadcasting is nervous of AI and I want to sell to streaming TV, so it's really clear I need to clarify what is AI generated when I publish/copyright/etc. Thank you for the great insights, and you presented a really complex situation brilliantly and clearly, best breakdown by far I seen to date tbh. I thought it might one day come down to AI would have to have their own registered pool of imagery (which artists could sell to and get a % if used, like say Getty Images ...thought Getty might be taking out a major court case against AI soon as well) but maybe the law is changing not to need that by saying computer created content not in itself copyrightable.
