For the GOAT science communicator, I find his (non) analysis of AGI a trifling, irrelevant thing. Even the argument on the relative number of non-concerned vs worried AI scientists is specious: We, rightly so, do not care to hear for the 1000th time that everything is Ok. However, it is the whistle-blower and the wide-eyed alarmist that always gets our immediate attention. It is a survival characteristic and it does not matter if it turns out to be a false alarm nearly every time. It is the one time that the alarm may turn out to be real that should concern us all the time.
