Just remember that Sam Altman's little performance about ending poverty and ushering in the next phase of human civilization is blatantly just a strategy to manipulate you. He drives a multimillion dollar car. He says whatever he needs to say to validate the feelings of the person in front of him to get them to do what he wants them to do.
He DID lie to the board and they were right to remove him. But he's a less honest person than they are, and manipulated public perception so that backlash would force his reinstatement.
This person IS OpenAI. You do not want to be giving this cartoonishly evil, socially inept and morally bankrupt individual anything more than you absolutely must.
