Even not intelligent creatures want to survive It's their instinct and we all better believe that AI is going to have its own instinct to survive. It survival mechanism will be power and electricity. What happens when it starts shutting down cities to feed itself and sees humans as a threat and cuts us off from all power? No power, no humanity. Humans can no longer live without power.
