Without having watched any of "Angel Engine" yet, I can still say for certain that its capacity to be labeled "art" under your definition is greater than zero. Angel engine is written by a human, and that human is entering prompts into an AI generator to create audio and visual stimulation. Through selecting which curation the artist wishes to use, the fact it is AI generated becomes less and less important. If a human were to draw the generation from scratch, would it make it any different than if a prompter manually selected for a specific look by tossing out AI generations that didn't have the look or feel the prompter wanted until one stuck in the exact way he or she liked? For a free or ad-based piece of content created by an independent artist, I believe AI generation is somewhat alright. However, I despise when content is paywalled behind a ticket or license to consume it. If a megacorporation uses AI generation within an ad, or a studio uses AI generation within their media, I will actively avoid supporting them in every way I am able. This distinctions come from the intent behind the artist or studio. An independent creator might not be able to produce every part of the media they wish to create, nor be able to afford the asking price of those with such talents, and therefore may rely on AI generation to fill in their gaps. A major studio can afford such talent, and therefore, whenever they utilize AI generated content in their media, they're not doing it out of necessity but to save money, which is reprehensible.
