When it comes to AI for writing, I find myself going back to the Terry Pratchett quote: "The first draft is just you telling yourself the story”. I've known it for years before AI popped off and I thought I understood what it meant. It's only recently that I drew a different meaning from it, that being that you don't know what the story even is until you've put in the legwork of going through all of it, and that finishing that first draft will change the story that you wanted to tell. By using AI to write your story, you skip out on that fundamental step.
