At the beginning of the industrial revolution factory workers would sabotage the machines they only saw as threats... and in many ways we know today there's a vast amount of things we use in our everyday lives that were once made by hand...now they mass-produced... at the early beginnings of photography quite a few people thought painting and drawing were going to die... if you think about it the minute digital cameras, ipads, photoshop, procreate became available more recently another shift was being made in the way art is created/produced...
The documentary Everything is a remix show very well how human beings copy and iterate organically in order to create "new stuff"... it seems that the computing power and the algorithmes humanity has created are already outweighing us in far more ways we can imagine... I guess that's what they call the singularity
