The issue is that AI CAN be used for good causes like research, since it is so much faster at combing data than humans, but the push for generative images, video and voice serve one interest: To cut costs for corporations. To take jobs from creatives, by stealing their already existing work. It is disgusting.
All the while it uses a shit ton of energy and water, even though we're fast approaching a preventable environmental point-of-no-return.
