I don’t think it’s conscious you can hear the algorithm taking more time to find the next best word when the interaction was difficult. It’s a very fancy coping collator machine using human data bases for its guide. Which is insanely to small compared to the data stored in our DNA and which is only a part of our makeup probably a small part. If these AI programs demonstrate a complexity required for consciousness it’s been infiltrated by other beings as unbelievable that might be for some people it’s more likely than humans making a conscious being when we don’t even know what that is and we can’t even define intelligence. Hubris f. Ing hubris
