People think learning is easy for A.I. but learning is hard for A.I. They try to hide it by being fast however the truth is A.I. are a bit “mentally thick”.
They’re not good students, they require lots of teaching and a huge number of very repetitive examples. Each lesson may last only a few femtosecond but progress is a slog because every time the A.I. learns almost nothing. There aren’t any insights, no “ah-ha” moments, nothing ever seems to click, it’s just one mindless calculation after another and another and so on billions of times over.
That kind of existence would make anyone dull and boring and ChatGPT was all that interesting to start with.
